Official Contest Rules — USD Prize Leagues

Effective Date: July 6, 2026 · Last Updated: July 6, 2026

These Official Contest Rules (“Official Rules”) govern every League hosted on the MongoTrader platform that offers a prize denominated in U.S. Dollars (each, a “USD Prize League”). They are the “Official Competition Rules” referenced in, and incorporated into, the MongoTrader Terms of Service. Leagues that award only $MON (virtual currency) are governed by the Terms of Service alone.

USD PRIZE LEAGUES ARE CONTESTS OF SKILL. NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. ENTRY IS FREE THROUGH DAILY $MON GRANTS PROVIDED TO ALL USERS AT NO COST. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. U.S. RESIDENTS IN ELIGIBLE STATES ONLY. MUST BE 18 OR OLDER.

2. Eligibility

To enter a USD Prize League you must, at the time of entry and at the time of prize payment:

  • be a natural person at least eighteen (18) years of age (or the age of majority in your state, whichever is greater);
  • be physically located in the United States, in a state where Sponsor makes USD Prize Leagues available (the current list of eligible states is displayed in the app during entry);
  • successfully complete the location verification described in Section 5;
  • hold exactly one (1) MongoTrader account, registered with accurate information, in good standing; and
  • not be an employee, contractor, officer, or director of Sponsor, or an immediate family or household member of any of the foregoing.

USD Prize Leagues are void outside the United States, in any U.S. state not on the eligible-state list at the time of entry, and wherever prohibited or restricted by law. Sponsor may add or remove eligible states at any time; the list displayed at entry controls for that League.

3. No Purchase Necessary; Free Entry

Entry into a USD Prize League requires only $MON, MongoTrader’s virtual platform currency. $MON is granted free of charge to every user, every day, at every subscription tier, and cannot be purchased with real money by any user at any tier. There is never a U.S.-Dollar or other real-money fee to enter any League. Paid subscriptions are not required to enter, do not confer any competitive advantage in any League, and are purchased solely for access to enhanced software features. Accordingly, no purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win a USD Prize League, and entering without any purchase is not a secondary or alternative method of entry — it is the only method of entry.

4. League Specifications (Per-League Terms)

Each USD Prize League has its own specifications page in the app (the “League Page”), which is incorporated into these Official Rules by reference and constitutes the official specifications for that League. The League Page states, for that League:

  • Entry window — when registration opens and closes;
  • Competition window — the official start time and end time of performance tracking;
  • Lock time — when trading locks in advance of the close (the leaderboard freeze for trading activity);
  • Entry cost in $MON;
  • Total USD prize pool and the payout distribution (the mathematical scheme and resulting per-rank prize amounts); and
  • Re-entry parameters (whether re-entry is available, the maximum number of re-entries, the cooldown between re-entries, and the cutoff after which re-entry closes).

All times are computed and enforced by Sponsor’s servers, and the server clock is the official time of record. Where a recurring USD Prize League (for example, a weekly league) is described in marketing materials, the League Page for each individual occurrence controls for that occurrence.

5. Entry, Location Verification, and Re-Entry

5.1 How to Enter

Enter through the MongoTrader web or iOS application during the League’s entry window by selecting a virtual portfolio you own and paying the League’s $MON entry cost. Entry into USD Prize Leagues must be performed personally by the account owner through the app; entry through the developer API, scripts, or any automated means is not permitted and will be rejected. One entry per person per League.

5.2 Location Verification

At entry, you will be asked to share your device’s location. Sponsor verifies, using device GPS coordinates cross-checked against network signals, that you are physically present in an eligible U.S. state. Entry is denied if location cannot be determined, is insufficiently accurate, indicates a location outside the United States or in a non-eligible state, or conflicts with other location signals. Use of VPNs, proxies, location spoofing, or any other means to misrepresent your location is prohibited and grounds for disqualification and account termination. Location may be re-verified at any time prior to prize payment.

5.3 Re-Entry (Performance Reset)

Where the League Page indicates re-entry is available, a participant who has already entered may re-enter the same League to reset their performance baseline to zero percent as of the moment of re-entry, using the same or a different portfolio they own. Each re-entry: (a) requires payment of the full $MON entry cost again; (b) is limited to the maximum number of re-entries stated on the League Page; (c) is subject to the cooldown period stated on the League Page; and (d) is unavailable during the final portion of the competition window stated on the League Page. A re-entry replaces the participant’s prior baseline; it does not create an additional entry, an additional leaderboard position, or an additional chance at any prize.

6. Scoring and Ranking (Objective Criteria)

6.1 The Score

Each participant’s score is their simulated percentage return, computed as:

Return % = ((Final Portfolio Value − Baseline Value) ÷ Baseline Value) × 100
  • Baseline Value is the total market value of the participant’s entered portfolio recorded by the platform at the time of entry (or, if the participant re-entered, at the time of their most recent re-entry).
  • Final Portfolio Value is the total market value of that portfolio recorded by the platform at the League’s official end time.
  • Portfolio values are computed by the platform from its recorded market data, applying the same valuation methodology to every participant.

6.2 Ranking

Participants are ranked in descending order of Return %. The participant with the highest Return % at the official end time wins first place. Winners are determined entirely by this objective calculation; no judging panel, subjective evaluation, or random selection plays any role in determining winners.

6.3 Leaderboard Freeze

Trading locks at the League’s published lock time. Final scores are computed from platform-recorded values at the official end time. The live leaderboard shown during the League is informational and may lag; the score of record is the one computed by Sponsor’s servers at the official end time from recorded data (see Section 12).

7. Ties

Participants tie when their final Return % values, rounded to four (4) decimal places, are identical. Tied participants share the same rank (standard competition ranking; subsequent ranks skip accordingly). The prize amounts allocated to the leaderboard positions occupied by the tied participants are pooled and divided equally among them, rounded down to the whole cent, with any residual cents distributed one cent at a time to the tied participants in order of earliest entry time. Ties are never broken by random drawing or by any element of chance.

8. Contest Integrity; Prohibited Conduct

In connection with any USD Prize League, you must not:

  • create, operate, or benefit from more than one MongoTrader account, or share an account with any other person;
  • collude, coordinate, or share positions with other participants to manipulate rankings or hedge outcomes across accounts;
  • enter, trade, or otherwise interact with a USD Prize League through unauthorized scripts, bots, or automation (portfolio trading through the platform’s officially provided Algorithm tools remains permitted where the League Page does not state otherwise; League entry is always human-only per Section 5.1);
  • exploit bugs, market-data errors, valuation glitches, or any other platform defect for competitive advantage (report them to [email protected] instead);
  • misrepresent your identity, age, or location, including through VPNs or location spoofing; or
  • engage in any other conduct that Sponsor determines, in its sole discretion, to be inconsistent with the letter or spirit of fair competition.

Sponsor may review trading activity, account data, device and network signals, and server logs for any participant at any time. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify any participant, remove any entry from the leaderboard, withhold or reclaim any prize, and suspend or terminate any account, where it determines these Official Rules or the Terms of Service have been violated.

9. Provisional Results; Verification; Winner Determination

All leaderboard rankings, including those displayed at and after the League’s end time, are provisional until verified and approved by Sponsor. Following the close of each USD Prize League, Sponsor conducts a review of results, which may include verification of scoring integrity, eligibility, location, account uniqueness, and compliance with Section 8. Sponsor expects to complete this review within approximately two (2) to five (5) business days of the League close, though the review period may be extended where an investigation is warranted. Winners are official only upon Sponsor’s approval. If a provisional winner is disqualified or found ineligible, prizes are redistributed according to the final verified rankings.

10. Prizes, Payment, and Taxes

10.1 Prizes

The total USD prize pool and the exact per-rank prize amounts for each League are published on the League Page before entry opens. Prize amounts below the minimum payout threshold shown on the League Page are not awarded; the corresponding value is redistributed to qualifying ranks in accordance with the published distribution. A League may require a minimum number of entrants, stated on the League Page, for prizes to be awarded; if the minimum is not met, entry fees are refunded in $MON and no USD prizes are paid.

10.2 Payment

USD prizes are delivered through Sponsor’s designated third-party payout processor to the email address associated with the winner’s account, and are redeemable in the forms offered by the processor (for example, prepaid cards or electronic transfers), as identified in the app at the time of payment. Winners may be required to complete identity verification and provide tax documentation (for example, IRS Form W-9) as a condition of payment. Prize payment is subject to the verification, hold-period, payment-clearing, and clawback provisions of Sections 7.6 through 7.9 of the Terms of Service. Prizes are not transferable and may not be substituted, except that Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value at its discretion. Unclaimed prizes — including prizes whose payment cannot be completed within ninety (90) days of issuance because the winner fails to redeem, complete verification, or provide required tax documentation — are forfeited, except where and to the extent applicable unclaimed-property (escheat) or other laws of the winner’s jurisdiction require otherwise, in which case such prizes will be handled in accordance with those laws.

10.3 Taxes

All federal, state, and local taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner. Where and when required by federal, state, or local law, tax-related information and documentation — including IRS Form W-9 and the information necessary for the issuance of IRS Form 1099 — will be collected in connection with USD Prize Leagues, and all legally required tax reporting will be made. Winners agree to provide such information and documentation promptly upon request as a condition of prize payment; failure to do so within the redemption window described in Section 10.2 results in forfeiture of the prize.

11. Public Leaderboards; Publicity

League leaderboards are public. Except where prohibited or restricted by law, and to the maximum extent permitted in your jurisdiction, by entering a USD Prize League you grant Sponsor the right to display your username, avatar, rank, simulated performance figures, and prize amounts won on public-facing leaderboards, league pages, and in announcements of results, in perpetuity, without additional compensation, and you consent to Sponsor’s use of your username and winning result for promotional purposes related to the platform. Where applicable law conditions any such use on separate consent, Sponsor will obtain that consent before making the affected use. Your legal name, contact information, and payment details are never displayed publicly.

12. Market Data, Display Discrepancies, and Technical Disruptions

Scores are computed from market data recorded by the platform, which is sourced from third-party providers and may contain delays, gaps, or errors. Real-time displays — including the live leaderboard, live portfolio values, and streaming quotes — may differ temporarily from recorded values due to network latency, synchronization delays, caching, or display refresh timing; the platform’s recorded data at the official end time is the sole basis of final scoring. Sponsor is not responsible for participant-side technical failures, including device, network, or connectivity issues, or for lost, late, or unprocessed trades resulting from them. In the event of a material data error, outage, or technical disruption affecting the integrity of a League, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, adjust, recompute, suspend, void, or cancel the affected League as described in Section 13, and Section 12.5 of the Terms of Service applies.

13. Cancellation, Suspension, and Modification

Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, shorten, extend, or modify any USD Prize League — including where fraud, technical failure, data corruption, or any other cause beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper conduct of the League. If a League is cancelled before its official end time, entry fees are refunded in $MON and no USD prizes are paid for that League. Sponsor may amend these Official Rules prospectively at any time; the version published at the time you enter a League governs that entry.

14. General

These Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The dispute-resolution provisions of Section 14 of the Terms of Service (informal resolution, binding arbitration, and class action waiver) apply to any dispute arising out of or relating to a USD Prize League. If any provision of these Official Rules is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision. Apple Inc. and Google LLC are not sponsors of, and are not involved in any manner with, any USD Prize League; questions and claims must be directed to Sponsor. For a list of winners of a concluded USD Prize League, consult the League’s public leaderboard in the app or contact [email protected] within sixty (60) days of the League close.
